＜summary＞

The main purpose of this study is clarifying “the role of Mugen no Byakuya” and narrative structure in “Inuyasha”. Especially I focus on his function in this story.

He is born as Naraku’s final alter ego, but he doesn’t concern about story and continue to be bystander exclusively.

However, he slashes Kagome with Meido Zangetsuha to lead her into ”the showdown with Shikon no Tama” in final battle, he fulfills his critical role at the end of story.

Why does he behave in that way? In the first place, why does he appear in this story ?

This study investigates every “Byakuya’s mystery” from various direction.

It tries to emphasize objectivity and elucidate structure of this story for the analysis, especially “relationship of Byakuya and Shikon no Tama”.
